We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the management of the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance activities, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data.The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.ResponsibilitiesAssist with PBC requests and related footnote gatheringsPreparation and input of general ledger entries for GAAP and internal accountingParticipation in month-end closing and reporting activitiesPerform financial statement and account analysis, including various reconciliationsProvide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts preparing journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist with the yearly budgeting/forecasting processes and budget to actual variance reporting, as neededAssist with annual financial, tax, vendor and other auditsResearch various accounting issues for conformity to GAAP and advise on fundamental changes to existing accounting policies and procedures, adoption methodologies, practical expedients, and impact to the financial statementsTimely and effectively complete miscellaneous projects and tasksContinually drive ongoing process and procedural improvements, including internal controls, within the accounting department and companyQualificationsBS/BA/MS degree in accounting, finance and/or equivalentCPA or CPA candidate preferredCandidate must have extensive experience with financial analysis and auditingMinimum of 3-5 years accounting experience is requiredSenior audit associate CPA firm experience or higher is preferredOil and gas or oil and gas field service experience is preferredSpecific Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCandidate must be able to gather and merge all pertinent statistical data and use and demonstrate sound business analysis with strong spreadsheet skills using MS ExcelTechnical GAAP research experienceCapable of interpreting and explaining financial/accounting terminology and principlesCandidate with NetsuiteERP System experience is a plusCandidate must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and possess the ability to effectively prioritize those tasksCandidate must have the ability to work well independently and in a team environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
