Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant that will report directly to the Controller, someone who will play a significant role in the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. Bring your Analytical Skill Set and help continue the phenomenal growth our company has seen over the last 20 years.Key responsibilities include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Additionally, this position will have day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, and overseeing all financial-related activities and systems, which includes accounting, payroll, tax, credit, forecasting, budgeting, and vendor relations.

Job Responsibilities:

General Ledger accounting -

  • Assists Controller on monthly financial reporting including, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and owner's equity.
  • Prepares month-end balance sheet reconciliations including prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and fixed assets.
  • Support processing accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Process and oversee weekly check runs, including ad hoc check requests.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues and inquiries concerning accounts payable.
  • Prepares management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends, as directed by senior leadership.
  • Audits job cost reporting.
  • Assists with annual and quarterly forecasting.

Payroll -

  • Preparation Bi-Weekly payroll through timecard review, commission calculations, and auditing of deductions.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with management.
  • Reviews position and rate changes as directed by the Human Resources team.
  • Assists with quarterly calculations of bonuses and other compensation.
  • Acts as the main point of contact with outside payroll processing service on payroll related issues.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.

General duties -

  • Acts as a point of escalation for the administrative accounting team.
  • Assists in determining and calculating key performance indicators, as directed by business need and management.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the accounting software and facilitates special reporting within the accounting team and other teams.
  • Assists in evaluating internal controls and makes recommendations to limit potential risk.
  • Provides financial information to outside parties as needed.
  • Maintains customer and employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Evaluates business processes and controls both within the accounting team and beyond and makes recommendations based on findings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in general ledger accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with job costing
  • Experience with management reporting and analysis.

Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
