Job Description

Company seeking a Senior Level Accountant to join a leading team in the area. This is a great opportunity for a professional who is driven, desires professional growth and wants to contribute to the success of an organization.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
  • • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for multiple companies.

    • Performing bank reconciliations, vendor ledger reconciliations, and other account reconciliations for multiple companies.

    • Review & ensure accurate bi-weekly timesheets and payroll processing, maintain employee PTO records, personnel files, assist with unemployment claim and wage garnishments, and other related tasks.

    • Maintains vendors and subcontractors W-9's, COI for G.L. & W.C. Insurance and prepares annual 1099's.

    • Supporting external audits (G.L. & W.C.), including preparing documentation.

    • Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow statements).

    • Providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.

    • Supervising colleagues and providing guidance and training.

    • Tax Compliance: Assisting with tax preparation and compliance.

    • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop budgets and forecasts, and monitoring budget performance.

    • Performing variance analyses, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Similar
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience
  • Experience in Construction related field is a plus but NOT required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quickbooks
  • Highly organized with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
