    Description

    Propio Language Services is transforming communication by developing tools and technologies that make it easier and more efficient for clients to engage with the Limited English Proficiency Population to improve access to healthcare and essential services in social services, education, legal and many others.Propio is a rapidly growing organization and we are looking to hire a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Financial Reporting team at our headquarters in Overland Park, KS. The person in this role will need to be comfortable explaining fluctuations, variances, and anomalies to finance leadership. The Senior Accountant will also serve as the primary point of contact during the company's annual audit. Additional responsibilities include general ledger journal posting and account reconciliation, ad‑hoc financial reporting, and finance systems maintenance.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of day‑to‑day and month end general journal entries, including complex revenue, cost of sales, and intra‑entity entriesReconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for multiple legal and operational entitiesReview of journal entries prepared by finance operations staffPreparation of full set of financial statements with commentary, supporting schedules within monthly close deadlineMaintain financials at subsidiary level for management and statutory reportingAnalysis of financial variances to budgets, prior periods, and expected amountServing as primary point of contact for company's financial auditors for interim and year‑end testingSupport for treasury and banking functions as neededAd‑hoc financial reporting and analysisOther duties assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred3+ years of experience working at the staff or senior level in public accounting or corporate accountingAbility to handle sensitive, confidential information with proper careComfort working in a deadline driven environmentComfort handling changing priorities and unexpected circumstancesAbility to present financial numbers and concepts in a clear understandable way to internal and external users; comfortable speaking to and working directly with executive managementExperience with NetSuite Financial system or working with multiple currencies a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
