We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of core accounting operations — including month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting — while serving as a key liaison to external auditors. The ideal candidate brings 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, a strong command of US GAAP, and the ability to operate with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced environment.Must be local to Kansas City / Overland Park.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and prepaidsPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPerform flux and trend analysis on income statement accountsReconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and subledgers; investigate and resolve variancesTechnical Accounting Apply relevant ASC standards to ensure accurate accounting treatment across transactionsMaintain fixed asset records and related reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports, including sales tax and 401(k)Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirementsAudit & Compliance Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors during financial statement, sales tax, and 401(k) auditsPrepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation in a timely and organized mannerCross-Functional Support Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate and complete financial reportingAssist with annual physical inventorySupport ad hoc financial analysis and other duties as neededWHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree in Accounting; must have CPA or CPA candidacy4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or operationally complex environmentStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and core ASC standardsDemonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial reporting processesIntermediate to advanced Excel proficiency; ERP experience required — Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plusExceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracyStrong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organizationBENEFITS Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHSA and FSA options401(k) with company matchLife insurancePaid time off and parental leaveEmployee referral programCulture of continuous learning and professional developmentEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER We are committed to building a team that represents a diversity of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.
