Client Overview: A reputable and well-known organization is looking to add a
Senior Accountant to their team. This is a newly created role and will be a part of a tight-knit team with a great work/life balance.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $100k - $110k
Position Overview: The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements. This is a great opportunity for a stable Senior Accountant looking for an opportunity to move up in a relatively short period of time.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:- Assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplish accounting and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Calculate monthly accruals.
- Help prepare actual-to-budget and forecast variance analysis.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:- 3+ years of experience.
- Public accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- CPA preferred, not required.
