    Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

    Classification: Exempt

    Status: Full-Time

    Reports to: Accounting Manager

    Purpose

    The Senior Accountant assists in the accurate close and presentation of monthly and annual reporting, and leverages knowledge to lead various accounting projects to support Company growth and change.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in Company-wide capital projects and leverage accounting knowledge to support and drive success.
    • Facilitates discussion with Business Leaders to identify opportunities for financial optimization.
    • Supports month-end close activities including completion of accounts reconciliation for assigned accounts.
    • Compiles historical financial data for purposes of creating and adhering to yearly budget.
    • Compiles monthly reports as requested for operational needs and growth purposes.
    • Prepares audit-related schedules and other audit requests.
    • Supports preparation of the annual financial statements.
    • Reports on monthly financial changes as they relate to operational variables.
    • Assists with any other accounting projects assigned by the Manager, Accounting.
    • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    • Minimum of years of experience in a business accounting or financial role.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CPA
    • Net Suite experience.
    • Experience or knowledge within a mail order or specialty pharmacy.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a professional office or home office environment, androutinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading and working with various forms of data.
