Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-level Staff Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting during a period of high organizational growth. This role will focus on core accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring experience in subscription-based revenue environments and contribute to improving financial processes and reporting accuracy. This position plays a critical role in supporting financial transparency and operational efficiency.

The Senior Accountant opportunity is a new role for Share-ify and its most beneficial if candidates have a combination of both skill and experience to build and manage financial operations from scratch. This role would be critical in building a strong financial foundation. Someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a passion for improving business operations. This candidate would own the accounting function, build a strong internal finance function to support long-term growth.
The right candidate has to have the following:

• SaaS revenue recognition expertise.
• Process-building experience.
• Ability to create and lead an accounting function from scratch.
• Experience supporting audits and implementing controls in a growing company.
• Detailed Key Responsibilities:
  1. ‎Accounting Operations
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Prepare monthly GAAP financial statements
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll accounting
  2. Revenue Accounting
  • Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Review customer contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Reconcile deferred revenue and subscription billing
  • Partner with Finance, Sales and Customer Success on billing and contracts
  3. Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare financial reporting packages for senior management team
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits
  • Support tax filings by working with external CPA firms
  • Maintain accounting policies and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
  4. Process Improvement
  • Build and document accounting policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes
  • Assist with implementation and optimization of accounting systems
  • Support ERP or financial system implementations as the company grows
  5. Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with Finance, Customer Success, Development, and rest of senior leadership team
  • Provide accounting guidance on invoicing, contracts, and new business initiatives
  • Assist with due diligence for strategic projects

  Additional Details
  The base salary range for this position is $80K - $90K annually, depending on experience.
  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
