Senior Accountant – Privately Held Technology CompanyLocation: Montvale, NJ; 100% Onsite (must live within 35 minutes of Montvale)Salary: $95,000-$110,000 + BenefitsBenefits: Medical, Vision, Life, 401K, Holidays, PTO, Sick TimeJob Type: Full-TimeStart Date: ASAPTypical Hours: 40 hours; M-F, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Summer Fridays – 8:30am-3:00pmOur client in the B2B technology services industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Montvale, NJ (25 employees' company-wide). Their current Senior Accountant will be retiring later this year, creating an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a long‑term impact. In this role, you will serve as the company's lead accounting professional, partnering closely with the CEO to ensure overall financial accuracy while overseeing the day‑to‑day accounting function. Although this is an individual contributor role, you will provide guidance and support to two team members responsible for the day‑to‑day A/P and A/R functions, allowing you to spend the majority of your time on higher‑level accounting responsibilities including general ledger activities, reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting. Success in this role requires a strong accounting foundation, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work within sophisticated accounting systems. Their CEO invests heavily in her team, values work/life balance, and consistently recognizes employee contributions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and enter journal entriesManage bank, general ledger, and account reconciliationsOversee accounts payable activities, including vendor payments and expense processingProcess customer billing and support accounts receivable activities as neededReconcile cash receipts, deposits, credit memos, and credit card transactionsPrepare and support month‑end and year‑end close processesAssist with sales tax reporting, annual 1099 preparation, and other regulatory reportingAnalyze financial data and assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and expense analysisMaintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with GAAP principlesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support special projects as neededQualifications5+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience requiredStrong experience with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end closeExperience working within an ERP or CRM requiredAdvanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, required#J-18808-Ljbffr
