Senior Accountant


Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000


Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to take on a highly visible role with broad exposure to financial reporting, business operations, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities



  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages

  • Analyze financial results and perform variance analysis to identify trends and key business drivers

  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives

  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and support a strong internal control environment

  • Assist with external audit requests and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliations

  • Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
