This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while helping drive the accounting and financial operations of multiple real estate investment and development entities.Position Overview The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and executing accounting functions acrossmultiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient accounting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong real estate accounting experience, a high level of ownership and accountability, and a willingness to personally own the accounting process from transaction-level detail through financial reporting. This individual will serve as a valuable resource to the accounting team while helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entitiesPrepare financial statements and supporting schedulesRecord and review journal entriesMaintain general ledger accuracy and perform account reconciliationsManage inter-company transactions and reconciliationsSupport cash management and cash flow forecastingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisSupport lender, investor, audit, and tax reporting requirementsResearch and resolve accounting issuesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controlsCollaborate with leadership, development, operations, and asset management teamsServe as a technical accounting resource and subject matter expert for the teamQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred (help prepare year end financials for third party tax team)5+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparationExperience managing accounting for multiple entitiesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and software (Quickbooks, Divvy, Appfolio)Experience with ERP and accounting systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Experience Real estate investment and development accountingConstruction accountingProperty, Partnership, and LLC accountingCapital accounts and investor reportingDebt and loan accountingJob costing and project accountingCash flow forecasting and managementAudit and tax supportWhat We're Looking For We\'re looking for a true accounting professional—someone who genuinely enjoys accounting and takes pride in producing accurate financial information.
