Senior Accountant - Real Estate Development

Our client, a highly regarded real estate development firm, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Real Estate Development Accountant to be an integral part of their team and contribute to their continued success. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage development accounting activities for active construction projects.
  • Prepare monthly construction loan requisitions and monitor loan budgets.
  • Review contractor/vendor invoices, coordinate approvals, and oversee payment processing.
  • Analyze financial statements, review general ledger activity, and prepare GAAP-compliant journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages 
  • Maintain accurate job cost reporting and ensure project costs are properly recorded.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA, and/or public accounting experience strongly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of accounting experience  within real estate development, construction, or public accounting (with real estate clients) required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required.
Annual salary for this role will range from $95-110k, depending on qualifications and experience.
