Senior Accountant – $70k–$80k base (hybrid: Lewisville, TX – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote; 40‑hour week)ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsPrepare and review the weekly accounts payable check run; validate invoices, research discrepancies with vendors and internal locations, and distribute remittance information.Maintain receivables accounts and follow up with internal locations on outstanding payments and discrepancies.Post daily credit‑card payments and reconcile payment activity to ensure accurate and timely recording.Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and with promptness.Maintain fixed‑asset and depreciation schedules.Perform general‑ledger account reconciliations, verify data accuracy, investigate and resolve discrepancies.Process aftermarket product cancellation requests and lender reserve statements.Distribute monthly employee credit‑card statements, track approvals, and record expenses per policies.Controls, Audit & CompliancePrepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual state and local tax returns and reports (sales & use tax, personal property tax, business license renewals, etc.).Prepare and file annual 1099 information returns in accordance with IRS requirements.Assist with annual external audit requests by gathering and providing required documentation.Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned responsibilities.Cross‑Functional CollaborationServe as liaison with dealership personnel to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.Provide support to other accounting team members and participate in cross‑training to enhance coverage.Reporting & AnalysisSupport monthly and year‑end close processes: prepare journal entries, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, record accruals, maintain operational accounts.Prepare assigned monthly reports.Assist with the annual budgeting process.Process monthly commissions for multiple departments and organizational levels.Complete ad‑hoc projects, including reporting, invoice entry, and journal entry preparation.Respond to internal and external inquiries (AP research, commission & bonus clarifications, account reclassification).Participate in process improvement initiatives.Qualifications5+ years of professional accounting experienceDealership experience preferredHigh level of integrity and attention to detailAbility to function in a fast‑paced, dynamic environmentStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controlsExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience with Motility Systems 2000 is a plusExperience analyzing reports and using databasesStrong analytical skills; general ledger, AP, AR, and banking working knowledgeHighly organized with excellent time‑management skills; adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to operate independentlyDrug‑free – must pass a drug testLegally able to work in the USA – E‑Verify employerMust pass pre‑employment testing including background check, MVR, and drug screenWorking ConditionsMay require extended periods of computer exposure.Most working hours spent in a temperature‑controlled office setting.Standard 40‑hour work week applies.Light physical activity such as walking and standing required.Job requires clear vision and the ability to use computers.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision (effective 1st of the month after a 30‑day waiting period)Voluntary supplemental benefits (STD, LTD, life, accident, critical illness)401(k)Over 100 hours of PTO in the first year4 paid holidays and 40 hours of floating holidayIndustry‑leading payBrand new facilitiesAdvancement opportunitiesWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
