About the Role The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's general ledger and core accounting records while supporting key financial processes and reporting activities.Responsibilities Perform daily cash reconciliationsAssist with cash disbursement processesPrepare and post both recurring and non-recurring journal entriesProcess payroll and ensure accuracy of payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliationsComplete monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliationsMaintain and analyze general ledger accountsLead assigned month-end and year-end close activitiesConduct preliminary reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and identify unusual variancesInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepanciesReconcile intercompany transactions and subledgersEnsure accuracy of financial data and supporting schedulesMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesSupport accruals, prepaid expenses, and amortization entriesAssist with audit requests by preparing required schedules and documentationMonitor transactions for compliance with company policies and GAAPContribute to process improvements, standardization, and documentationAnalyze large data sets to identify coding or posting errorsCollaborate with AP, AR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reportingQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 4 years of accounting or general ledger experienceStrong understanding of debits, credits, accrual accounting, and reconciliationsExperience using ERP systems (e.g., IFS)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage deadlines in a close-driven environmentPreferred Skills Experience in high-volume transactional accounting environmentsBackground in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or shared services accountingInvolvement in ERP implementations, conversions, or data cleanup projectsPayroll processing and payroll tax experienceKnowledge of fixed assets and intercompany accounting#J-18808-Ljbffr
