Senior Accountant – Your Job Duties

You will work directly alongside an experienced Controller to support billing and financial reporting.

  • Own the accounts receivable function, including oversight of billing, cash application, AR aging, collections, and retention tracking
  • Manage lien release processes, including conditional and unconditional waivers, and coordinate joint check processing to ensure proper payment handling and alignment with collections
  • Drive cash flow by proactively managing collections and resolving billing discrepancies in coordination with project managers and operations
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities and investigate variances
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support a timely and accurate month-end close process
  • Support multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Prepare and reconcile key schedules, including prepaids, fixed assets, notes payable, and insurance
  • Assist with the annual audit and provide supporting documentation
  • Partner with the Controller to investigate accounting issues, determine appropriate treatment, and improve processes

Senior Accountant – Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit

You Have:

  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month end close procedures
  • Experience with construction accounting, including job costing and familiarity with WIP/POC concepts
  • Solid Excel skills (multi-tab workbooks, formulas, reconciliations)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Senior Accountant – Benefits for You

Your compensation will be $90,000 to $115,000. You will work in a brand-new office environment designed for collaboration and focus.
