    Description

    Senior Accountant | St. Louis, MO

    We're currently partnered with a top public accounting firm in the St. Louis area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team.

    This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take on more responsibility within engagements, work closely with clients, and continue building both technical and leadership skills in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Leading and completing compilation, review, and audit engagements
    • Assisting with planning and execution of attest engagements
    • Evaluating internal controls and performing audit testing
    • Communicating directly with clients to gather and clarify information
    • Supervising and mentoring staff accountants on engagements
    • Preparing various tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual, fiduciary) as needed
    • Supporting special projects and firm initiatives

    What they're looking for:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
    • 2+ years of public accounting experience
    • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
    • Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    Compensation:

    $75,000 – $100,000 base + bonus potential
