You'll manage multiple engagements, take ownership of your work, and collaborate directly with clients and team members.You can expect to:Prepare and review a variety of individual, business, nonprofit, and trust tax returnsAssist clients with year-round tax planning strategiesPrepare compiled or reviewed financial statementsResearch complex tax issues and draft clear, well-supported memosHelp clients navigate IRS notices and audit responsesAssist with review, compilation, and audit engagements.Provide support with estate and trust planningMentor junior staff and contribute to team developmentWhat You Bring We're looking for someone who's organized, curious, and motivated — someone who values accuracy but also likes to problem-solve. You should be comfortable with client interaction and confident managing projects independently, while still being a strong team player.CPA license (or eligible to sit for the exam)Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master of Taxation is a plus3–5 years of experience in public accountingFamiliarity with UltraTax CS or other tax softwareSolid understanding of tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofitsStrong research and communication skillsAbility to balance priorities and meet deadlinesWhy Join Payne Nickles We offer a supportive, people-first culture with real opportunities for advancement.
