We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Senior Accountant in the Engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where teamwork and leadership are crucial for success. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting activities including month end close, quarterly reporting, research unusual billing, consolidations process including journal entries, management accounting reports operational trends, and margin analysis.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will have a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to:

1. Oversee month-end close procedures, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of results.
2. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including consolidations.
3. Research and resolve unusual billing issues, working closely with the billing department to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Conduct consolidation processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries.
5. Generate management accounting reports on operational trends, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision making.
6. Perform margin analysis to identify potential areas of improvement and cost savings.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
8. Ensure compliance with all internal controls and regulatory requirements.
9. Provide support for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the successful candidate will have:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the Engineering industry.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in month-end close, quarterly reporting, and consolidation processes.
5. Proven experience in researching and resolving unusual billing issues.
6. Experience in producing management accounting reports and conducting margin analysis.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
11. CPA certification is preferred.
