Senior Accountant (SOX & Controls Focus) → Growth Track to Leadership


Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid)
Compensation: Up to $120K + Bonus

What You’ll Do


This role sits at the intersection of accounting, SOX compliance, and internal controls—giving you visibility across the business and direct interaction with leadership.



  • Lead and support SOX compliance and internal controls frameworks

  • Partner cross-functionally to design, test, and improve internal controls

  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting

  • Drive process improvements, especially within a manufacturing environment

  • Collaborate with auditors and support internal/external audit activities

  • Contribute to system enhancements (SAP S/4HANA is a plus)



What We’re Looking For


We want someone who’s not just technically strong—but motivated to grow.



  • 3–6+ years of accounting experience

  • Strong background in SOX, internal controls, or audit

  • Experience in manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments strongly preferred

  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA a plus)

  • Evidence of career progression or taking on increasing responsibility

  • A proactive, ownership mindset with a desire to move up
