As the organization continues to scale internationally, they are investing heavily in strengthening their finance function to support accurate reporting, improve controls, and build scaleable processes across the business. The head office is based in Spring (TX).

Client Details

The finance team is currently undergoing transformation and process improvement initiatives across several international entities. As a result, they are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to play a key role in managing international reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close activities across a complex global environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will partner closely with finance stakeholders across multiple countries and have significant exposure to international accounting operations. Description

The successful Senior Accountant (Accounting Manager) will:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple international entities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other accounting adjustments
  • Review general ledger activity and ensure financial data is complete and accurate
  • Support the preparation of management reporting packs and financial statements
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple global entities
  • Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, and other key accounts
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Manage multi-currency accounting activities and foreign exchange reconciliations
  • Maintain supporting documentation and audit trails for reconciliations and accounting entries
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, invoicing, cross-charges, settlements, and eliminations
  • Coordinate with finance teams across regions to ensure intercompany balances are aligned
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Assist with statutory reporting and compliance requirements where needed
  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements to accounting processes
  • Support the automation and standardization of accounting and reconciliation activities
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Operations teams to improve reporting accuracy and process efficiency
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of finance systems, ERP processes, and reporting tools

Profile

The successful Senior Accountant will have:

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience within a multi-entity environment
  • Strong technical accounting experience with expertise in reconciliations and month-end close processes
  • Experience managing intercompany accounting and international transactions
  • Exposure to multi-currency accounting environments (USD, EUR, and other global currencies)
  • Prior experience working within multinational organizations
  • Manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and high-growth environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting audits and strengthening internal controls
  • Prior exposure to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation projects
  • Spanish language skills highly desirable
