An acute care hospital is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role will maintain general ledger integrity, prepare financial statements, and assist with budgeting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 5pm
- Setting: In-person
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements and support month-end close activities.
- Maintain the integrity of general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Book recurring and non-routine journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expense analysis.
- Analyze monthly expenses and budget variances, and assist with annual budgeting.
- Perform cash and treasury-related tasks, including reconciliations, disbursement reporting, and debt obligation tracking.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong financial analysis, organization, communication, and multitasking skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Desired Skills:
- CPA certification
- Healthcare Accounting experience
- Experience with Power BI, Access, PowerPoint, Infor, Lawson, Kronos, Cerner EMR, patient accounting, or Strata
- Familiarity with Think-Cell PowerPoint software
