Client Overview:
Our client, a large organization in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a highly visible role with strong growth potential. The ideal candidate is technically strong, comfortable owning their financials, and experienced with SOX, US GAAP, and cost accounting processes.

Salary/Rate/Hourly Rate:
$80k - $95k

Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant will support operational accounting as well as cost accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will contribute to both financial reporting and operational analysis. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow and expand their scope.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
  • Support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and roll-forwards to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare internal financial reporting packages, including management reports and financial statements with footnotes, while supporting ERP reporting.
  • Assist with audit and compliance efforts, including SOX controls, internal audit testing, external audit support, and resolving audit findings.
  • Support cost accounting activities, including inventory variance analysis and LIFO/FIFO updates within the ERP system.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
  • SAP experience is required.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
