Salary/Hourly Rate: $85k - $100k
Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will join a growing accounting team and play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:- Manage and support the monthly and year-end close process.
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Analyze account balances and investigate variances.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal departments on accounting-related matters.
- Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with an ERP or accounting system.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:- Experience preparing financial statements.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Public accounting or audit experience.
- CPA or CPA-track experience.
- Experience working in a multi-entity or growing organization.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
