We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead our day-to-day accounting operations. This position is responsible for managing the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, banking transactions, and internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, experience in full cycle accounting, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.This is an on-site position located in Vancouver, Washington and reports to the Controller.Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, banking, and expense managementPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, commissions, tax distributions, and recurring entries in a timely and accurate mannerReconcile all key accounts on a regular basis, including bank statements, subledgers, and balance sheet accountsMaintain and manage capital assets, leases, depreciation, and amortization schedulesWork closely with AR & AP to ensure accurate and timely processingPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and internal policiesManage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and subledger roll-forwardsPrepare and file sales, excise, personal property, and other required tax filings; ensure timely payment of related liabilitiesMonitor and analyze key financial metrics and trends, including costs, revenues, and commitments; support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisMaintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial riskCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to align financials with business goalsPerform cost accounting analysis, including budget vs. actual and variance analysisAnalyze material, labor, and overhead variances and explain key driversMaintain and review inventory costing and standard costsPrepare and analyze gross margin and product profitability reportsPartner with operations and supply chain to improve cost efficiency and controlsPerform regular reviews of transactional data to ensure accurate coding to jobs, GL accounts, and proper allocationsSupport ERP (NetSuite) implementation and ongoing improvements; assist with system integrations and upgradesCoordinate with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors for reporting, audits, and complianceLead accounting staff; provide back-up and cross-functional support as neededPerform other related duties and projects as assignedQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (CPA preferred)5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferredSolid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsExperience with ERP systems (Quickbooks &/or NetSuite strongly preferred)Strong Excel and analytical skills; ability to organize and interpret large data setsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and leadership skillsManufacturing, distribution, or job-costing environment experienceExposure to inventory accounting, standard costing, and project-based accountingFamiliarity with tax reporting, payroll accounting, and audit preparationRetirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributionsPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Holidays)Employment will be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.Physical Requirements and Work Environment:Employees must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds occasionally and rarely lift or move up to 15 pounds. Close vision is required for this job, specifically for reading and viewing a computer screen for extended periods. This is a sedentary office position requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk (up to 6 to 8 hours a day). The role involves continuous repetitive motion and fine manipulation of the hands and fingers for typing and operating standard office equipment. Employees are occasionally required to reach with their hands and arms, stand, and walk (typically totaling no more than 2 hours per day), and are rarely required to kneel or stoop to access file cabinets. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees must be able to frequently communicate with others and exchange accurate information.While working in the office, employees will operate in a climate-controlled environment and tolerate quiet to moderate noise levels. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
