    Senior Accountant Finance Team  |  Full-Time  |  On-Site
      The Opportunity Our client, a growing organization with a well-established finance function, is hiring an Senior Accountant to help drive accuracy and consistency across its accounting operations. This role sits at the center of the monthly close cycle and touches nearly every part of the accounting function — from reconciliations and reporting to payables oversight and systems administration. It's a great fit for someone who thrives on structure, enjoys owning a process end-to-end, and wants real visibility into how a finance department runs.   Core Responsibilities
    • Take ownership of accounts payable — from invoice intake through payment issuance — while managing vendor relationships and keeping vendor records accurate
    • Track outstanding payables, troubleshoot exceptions, and keep payments moving on schedule
    • Handle payment processing across both domestic and international accounts, including outgoing wire transfers
    • Own the accounting and reporting cycle for a specialized services division, covering billing, accruals, margin tracking, and close-out
    • Play a key role in a fast month-end close, including reconciliations, accrual entries, and reporting deliverables
    • Champion best practices within the company's core financial system across cash, fixed assets, payables, and expense modules
    • Write and maintain internal accounting procedures to keep the department running consistently
    • Partner with leadership during audits and the annual budget cycle
    • Manage a range of recurring compliance filings, including 1099 reporting and state/local tax obligations
    • Coach junior staff (Accounts Payable Specialist) and help reinforce sound internal-control habits across the team
    Required Background
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
    • At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
    • Lead/Supervisory experience
    Compensation
    • $75,000 - $90,000/yr plus bonus
    • Full benefits package including insurance, retirement, PTO
