This position is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional with strong cost accounting expertise, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on, paper-heavy setting (initially). You will support both accounts receivable/payable and complex reconciliations, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate closely with an experienced accounting manager and junior staff. This position is located in San Leandro or Livermore, CA. Key Responsibilities Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP. Take ownership of cost accounting, which is critical for the manufacturing business. Understand and work with standard cost systems, analyze variances, and contribute to manufacturing finance. Provide coverage for accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed. Adapt to a less automated, paper-heavy environment and help improve processes. Be flexible and willing to take on varied tasks, as the company operates like a startup and needs people who can "wear different hats." Required Skills & Experience 5 plus years of general accounting experience in manufacturing. Strong cost accounting background. Proficiency in GAAP and reconciliations. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Willingness to be on-site initially with potential to move to a hybrid/remote work environment Adaptability to change and willingness to help modernize processes.
