Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing and highly respected accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants meaningful exposure to the financial operations of a successful manufacturing organization.

The Senior Accountant will play an important role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with the Controller and broader leadership team.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• 
  
• Prepare and analyze journal entries and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reporting
• 
  
• Analyze inventory, manufacturing costs, and variances
• 
  
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
• 
  
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
• 
  
• Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• 
  
• Work closely with operations and other departments throughout the organization
• 
  
• Assist with audit preparation and other special projects as needed
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 
  
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 
  
• Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience is a plus
• 
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• 
  
• Experience with an ERP system preferred
• 
  
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
•
