Senior Accountant (Remote)
Location: Fully Remote
Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 + Bonus
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join a high-performing accounting team within a rapidly growing public company. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with month-end close and financial reporting, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, acquisition-driven business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Analyze financial results and investigate account fluctuations
- Support financial reporting and compliance activities
- Participate in acquisition accounting and integration efforts
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of accounting standards
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
- Partner with various departments to support operational and financial initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies
- Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA heavily preferred or actively pursuing certification
- 3+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
