Who We're Looking For… VPL is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. In this role, you'll work with the accounting team to manage AP & AR, while supporting the full accounting cycle from journal entries and reconciliations to assisting with monthly close and financial reporting. What You'll Do…

Accounting Operations

Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and related schedules

Perform general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements

Assist in managing AR, AP, payroll accounting, expense recognition, and revenue recognition

Partner with cross-functional teams to support business operations with timely financial data and insights

Compliance & Controls

Ensure adherence to GAAP and support audit readiness throughout the year

Support internal control policies and procedures to help ensure compliance and financial integrity

Assist in preparing documentation for external audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews

Help identify and flag financial and operational risks within the accounting function

Systems & Process Improvement

Support ongoing improvements to accounting systems (Sage Intacct) and processes to drive efficiency and scalability

Assist the Accounting Manager and VP of Finance in evaluating and implementing tools that streamline reporting, reconciliations, and close activities

Support the development of documentation, templates, and policies to help scale a growing accounting function

What You'll Bring…

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation

Experience in a SaaS or tech-enabled company preferred

Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Intacct strongly preferred), Microsoft Excel, and AI tools (e.g., Claude)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking ownership of process improvements in a fast-scaling environment
