LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization is seeking a Senior Accountant for a long-term contract assignment. This role is fully onsite and will support core accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting experience and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

Senior Accountant - Contract (6-12 Months) Location: Wilmington, DE (Fully Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time Assignment Length: 6-12 Month Contract

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support full month-end and quarter-end close processes • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis • Support audit requests and documentation (internal and external) • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A and Operations • Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting workflows

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close • Prior experience in corporate or life sciences/pharma environment preferred • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) • ERP system experience required (SAP, Oracle, or similar) • Ability to work fully onsite, Monday through Friday
