    We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of the accounting function.     Position Summary

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for Airmax. This position manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, general ledger maintenance, and monthly financial reporting. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while serving as a trusted partner to the Regional Controller and local leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the accounting department, including:

      • Accounts Payable

      • Accounts Receivable

      • General Ledger maintenance

      • Revenue recognition

      • Asset management

    • Perform and review all monthly close activities.

    • Ensure monthly financial close is completed within five (5) business days following month-end unless otherwise directed by the Regional Controller.

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.

    • Contribute financial information to planning and review processes while identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

    • Participate in management meetings as requested.

    • Prepare the weekly cash forecast for review with the Regional Controller.

    • Approve cash disbursements after Regional Controller approval by verifying checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers against supporting invoices.

    • Partner with the General Manager to monitor department expenses and ensure spending remains within budget.

    • Support annual audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

    • Record and reconcile all intercompany transactions with Corporate and regional entities.

    • Perform timely reconciliations of general ledger accounts.

    • Assist with the annual budgeting process.

    • Coordinate monthly inventory cycle counts.

    • Build strong working relationships across departments and serve as a trusted financial business partner to the Airmax leadership team.

    • Protect confidential financial information and maintain the highest level of integrity.

    • Report directly to the Regional Controller.

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

    • Knowledge of audit processes and internal controls

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    • Strong analytical and research skills

    • Project management and organizational abilities

    • Budgeting and financial planning experience

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

    • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills

    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience

    • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and month-end reporting

    • Experience with Sage IntacctServiceTitan, and Ramp is strongly preferred
