Senior Accountant
Onsite | Columbus, OH
Salary: $85,000–$95,000
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-driven Senior Accountant to play a critical role in advancing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This position offers strong visibility within the finance team and close partnership with leadership, making it ideal for someone who takes ownership, values accuracy, and enjoys improving processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reports
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support audit planning and execution; serve as a key liaison with auditors and external partners
- Partner closely with the Assistant Controller on core accounting functions and special initiatives
- Manage close timelines, compliance requirements, and assess accounting-related risks
- Oversee financial reporting responsibilities for assigned business units or functions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance reporting accuracy, controls, and processes
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- High attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting audits or working in complex accounting environments preferred
