Supports financial departments by processing, verifying, and reconciling daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and expense data. They maintain accurate, up-to-date, and organized records in the general ledger, often requiring proficiency in Excel and accounting software. The role requires high attention to detail for handling data entry and supporting month-end closing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Processing invoices, payments, and expense data.
Reconciliation: Reconciling vendor statements, bank accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
Data Entry: Posting daily transactions, such as receipts and payments, to the general ledger.
Record Maintenance: Organizing and maintaining financial records, filing systems, and documentation.
Month-End Support: Assisting with preparation of financial statements and reports.
Compliance & Administrative: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and aiding in audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: May require an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Experience: Requires 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software, Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise, Microsoft Excel.
Skills: Strong mathematical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits)
