Your role.Assist in the preparation of financial accounting projects including annual budgets, reconciliation of accounts, board reporting, and monthly financial analysesComplete monthly financial statement close process including account reconciliations, reconciling sub-ledgers, posting of journal entries and communication with clientsPerform data collection and analysis for senior care and living projects utilizing benchmark data and other client financial informationPrepare Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for various provider types including skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice organizations.The qualifications.Bachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA preferred but not required3+ years of full charge staff accountant experience including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations and workpaper preparation experience3+ years minimum experience with computerized accounting systems, including:General ledger through financial statementExperience with PointClickCare or Sage Intacct preferred; Yardi, Peachtree and/or Creative Solutions a plusFixed assets and depreciationExperience with FX and/or FAS preferredPayroll, including preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filingsTravel throughout the eastern and central time zones on occasion with approximately 5% overnight travelPlante Moran enjoys a “Workplace for Your Day” model which, simply put, means we strive for flexibility and balance while staying true to our principally in-person model.
