At Ariat, were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounting Manager to strengthen our general ledger integrity and support our growing operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Treasury, this role will partner closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, and FP&A to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting that supports strategic decision-making and business growth.

This role will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes, and leading month-end close activities, leading annual accounting audit and supporting company initiatives and implementing new accounting development to ensure GAAP compliance. This role provides strategic guidance to leadership, manages a team of accountants, and ensures the integrity of financial information in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Youll Make a Difference By

  • Month-End Close: Managing and overseeing the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff; ensuring proper workload distribution and performance management.
  • Audit & GAAP compliance including new technical development: Leading and coordinating annual audit with outside auditing firm. Implement new GAAP technical development when applicable.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborating with our FP&A team and other departments to provide accurate financial data for planning and forecasting.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency through automation or policy changes.
  • Supporting company initiatives: Working closely with operations, finance, and executive teams to provide financial insight for strategic decisions.

About You

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred)
  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role
  • Experience in medium or large-sized companies preferred
  • Prior public accounting firm experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, including familiarity with ASC 842 and ASC 606
  • Experience in acquisition accounting preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with Cognos, Tableau, or Alteryx a plus
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering growth and development

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 per year.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
