PLS Claims is an independent adjusting company headquartered in the Atlanta area. PLS Claims represents numerous clients, including insurance companies, Syndicates at Lloyds, self-insureds and third-party administrators.
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a diverse range of responsibilities and wants to become an integral part of a growing small business
In this highly visible and newly created role, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations while managing payroll, employee and HR administration tasks, and business compliance activities. Working closely with the Vice President/Controller, you'll help ensure our financial operations run smoothly while identifying opportunities to improve processes and support future growth.

Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounting:
- AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end support, financial reporting, and budget assistance
- Support the VP/Controller with special projects and financial reporting in addition to managing the recurring day-to-day accounting responsibilities for the business
Payroll and Human Resources/Employee Administration:
- Payroll processing, benefits, PTO support, maintaining employee records, workers comp, unemployment, and HR tasks
- Play an integral part in onboarding and helping existing employees with questions as needed to continue building a great employee experience and maintain a strong team culture
Business Operations and Compliance:
- Corporate licensing, insurance certificates, vendor documentation, compliance calendars, internal controls, process improvement, assist with employee training programs
- Help us identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of internal procedures

Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $65,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications
