Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking a SENIOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE to join our SUPPLY CHAIN team!

The Senior Accounts Payable Associate performs advanced accounts payable functions requiring a higher level of knowledge, accuracy, and independent judgment within established policies and procedures. This role supports regulatory compliance, timely and accurate processing, and financial integrity while serving as a subject matter resource for the accounts payable team.

In addition to performing core AP processing, the Senior Accounts Payable Associate assists with training, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting audits, and participating in process improvement and standardization initiatives across the Procure-to-Pay function.

HOURS: Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period, Day only

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable practices, finance, and accounting through a bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive accounts payable experience.
  • Prior experience providing training, mentoring, or lead support is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounts payable processes and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations impacting accounts payable.
