Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview
A large, multi‑location services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to support high‑volume billing and collections operations. This role is critical as customers increasingly require invoices to be submitted through third‑party procurement portals. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, onsite environment.
This is not an entry‑level role-prior portal billing experience and exposure to large, complex AR environments are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, generate, and submit customer invoices, including manual entry into third‑party invoice portals
- Manage full accounts receivable functions including billing, collections, and account maintenance
- Set up and maintain customer accounts to ensure accurate invoicing and payment application
- Reconcile discrepancies and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner
- Follow up on outstanding balances and support collections efforts
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements
- Maintain documentation and uphold internal AR controls and processes
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience submitting invoices through Ariba and/or Coupa
- Strong background in billing and collections for large or multi‑entity organizations
- Experience working within high‑volume AR environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Comfortable working onsite on a full‑time basis
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Enterprise ERP system (SAP)
- Internal invoicing platform used for invoice generation
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Standard business hours (flexibility available, e.g., 7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00)
- Work Model: 100% onsite
- Pay Rate: Approximately $30/hour
- Employment Type: Contract‑to‑Hire
