Job Description

Responsibilities: , and cross-agency coordination. This position will work closely with senior stakeholders across Research & Engineering (R&E), Acquisition & Sustainment (A&S), the DoW Chief Information Officer (CIO), Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Joint Staff (J28), and other federal organizations to integrate Program Protection, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), counterintelligence (CI), and information security requirements across DoW programs and initiatives. Responsibilities f or the Senior Action Officer: Classification/Program Protection includes: Support the development, implementation, and coordination of national and DoW security policy, guidance, and training related to Classification Management and Program Protection. Serve as a senior Security Policy Analyst and Action Officer, drafting, staffing, tracking, reviewing, and reconciling policy documents, directives, instructions, manuals, memoranda, and other security publications. Facilitate and oversee security reviews, including assessing security requirements and developing recommendations for security classification guidance and Program Protection Plans. Conduct policy analysis and provide recommendations addressing information security, classification management, Program Protection, SCRM, counterintelligence, and related security equities. Develop and coordinate action memoranda, congressional responses, executive briefings, background research, oversight materials, and senior-level correspondence. Coordinate and reconcile input from multiple DoW organizations, military services, Joint Staff elements, federal agencies, and other stakeholders. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with R&E, A&S, DoW CIO, DCSA, Joint Staff (J28), and other federal entities. Participate in interagency and intra-agency meetings, working groups, security reviews, oversight visits, and other senior-level engagements. Support the integration of security policy requirements across organizational efforts while ensuring alignment with applicable national and DoW policies and procedures.
