Senior Actuary

Location: Bloomington, IL | Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

ARC Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading Property & Casualty insurance client in Bloomington, IL. Our client is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Senior Actuary to join their team immediately.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial experience, with a focus on pricing, reserving, and regulatory filings.

Job Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex data sets to develop rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates, and economic capital models.
• Provide actuarial support for filings submitted to state insurance departments.
• Develop, implement, and refine new rates and rating plans, recommending enhancements to existing methodologies and procedures.
• Analyze data and translate findings into actionable solutions supporting actuarial functions and product line management.
• Lead or contribute to special actuarial projects within defined scopes.
• Serve as the Property & Casualty actuarial representative on assigned project committees.
• Maintain actuarial credentials and pursue continued advancement toward the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), including completion of Continuing Education requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• ACAS designation required; actively progressing toward FCAS preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with Auto and Homeowners pricing experience; however, other P&C backgrounds will be considered.
• Must be able to work on-site in Bloomington, IL (hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 remote).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.
