OPEN TO CURRENT, REGULAR COUNTY OF NEVADA EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE COMPLETED TWELVE MONTHS OF SATISFACTORY, PROBATIONARY SERVICE

Nevada County Health and Human Services is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Senior Administrative Analyst to assist the department with various critical initiatives. Our ideal candidate is independent with initiative and has strong interpersonal and leadership skills. We seek someone who is detail oriented, skilled at independent research and problem solving, will confidently provide strategic insights and recommendations, brings Excel and writing skills, and be able to independently lead key projects, moving them forward with minimal direction.

Examples of Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Lead analyst serving as Nevada County Health and Human Services Privacy Officer, requiring discretion, attention to detail, staying abreast of HIPPAA and other privacy law and regulation, development of policies and procedures, training to staff and contractors.
  • Serving as Public Information Officer (PIO) lead for Nevada County Health and Human Services
  • Serving as project lead for unique initiatives, grants development, projects, and events, requiring research, leadership, and in
  • Interpret and assist with implementation of state information notices and regulation updates, specific to privacy

Knowledge and Skills Required

This classification is the advanced journey-level class in the Administrative Analyst series, which works independently in the performance of assignments. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelors degree in public administration, business administration, economics or a related field from an accredited college or university. A minimum of three-years of experience comparable to the Nevada County classification of Administrative Analyst II is also required. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted based on two-years of experience for each year of education for up to two years of the required education.

Three years of experience comparable to Nevada Countys classification of Administrative Analyst II, which includes a broad range of analytical assignments.

Retirement

The County is a member of the CalPERS retirement system and also provides the opportunity for voluntary contributions to a 457 deferred compensation account through Nationwide by way of pre-tax and Roth payroll deductions.
