Compensation Plan Salary Range: $26.90 - $32.81 per/Hour Shift Type: Full-Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Assistant Superintendent - Administrative Services EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To effectively assist the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services by providing secretarial services in a confidential matter.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Knowledge of basic computer and keyboarding skills EXPERIENCE: Prior secretarial experience at a school or administrative level Basic knowledge of school district operations

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Office Manager Order supplies for the department and oversee equipment management
  • Greet visitors, school administrators, and staff
  • Help lead and guide office staff in the Administrative Services Suite
  • Answer telephones, take messages, route calls to appropriate personnel, and respond to inquiries while using professional discretion regarding confidential matters
  • Demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Enter data in Skyward, Eduphoria, Munis, Google applications, etc.
  • Issue requisition, supply, and purchase orders
  • Work well with others, exhibit exceptional diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality
  • Support the needs of the Administrative Services Division including Student Services, Health Services, Counseling Services, At-Risk, Transportation, Data Management, Special Education, and Safety and Security
  • Manage the schedule of appointments for the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and assist in maintaining the division calendar
  • Maintain a filing system for reports, correspondence, and the MISD Policy Manual
  • Assist in student enrollment, student transfers, and pre-k applications
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Mental Demands: Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals Interacting with the public and other staff and occasionally meeting multiple demands from several people
