Job Summary
This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key leadership role within a mission-driven research organization, helping shape financial strategy, supporting innovative scientific discovery, and working alongside world-renowned researchers in a collaborative academic medical center environment.We are seeking a strategic, experienced Senior Research Finance Administrative Manager to oversee the financial and operational management of a complex research portfolio. In this highly visible leadership role, you will partner with Principal Investigators (PIs), researchers and senior leaders to guide funding strategies, ensure regulatory compliance and support research excellence from proposal development through post-award administration. What You'll Do
Lead financial oversight for a diverse portfolio of sponsored research funding, including federal, foundation, industry and clinical trial awards
Partner with PIs on grant proposal development, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
Drive effective post-award management through financial analysis, reporting and risk mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements, including NIH regulations
Develop and improve processes that enhance efficiency, transparency and financial stewardship
Collaborate with stakeholders across a leading academic medical and research environment
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field (advanced degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered)
5+ years of research finance or grant administration experience
3+ years of leadership or people management experience
Strong knowledge of sponsored research administration and federal funding regulations (NIH, USDA, ARPA-H, foundation funding, etc.)
Exceptional financial, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead through complexity, influence decision-making and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
