Senior Advancement Officer

A well-established independent school in the greater Los Angeles/Inland Empire area is rebuilding its frontline fundraising team following the recent close of a major capital campaign. This is a portfolio-owning, individual contributor role with a clear runway into development leadership as the team scales back up. You'd manage a substantial book of major gift relationships, working closely with senior institutional leadership, with strong travel support for donor visits including international trips. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a strong benefits package including generous employer retirement contributions.

Title: Senior Advancement Officer

Location: Hybrid in La Verne, CA — onsite, fixed hybrid schedule

Compensation: Up to $140k in base + Benefits

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of progressive frontline fundraising/advancement experience (5+ years for Senior-level track)
• Personally-attributable track record closing five- and six-figure gifts
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including extended trips
• CRM proficiency (Raiser's Edge or comparable donor CRM)

Strong Pluses:

• Independent school or higher education advancement experience
• Advanced degree
• Background in leaner nonprofit environments requiring self-generated prospecting
• Demonstrated goal-tracking/KPI discipline
