Senior Ag Commercial Lender

I’m currently conducting a confidential search for an experienced Senior Loan Officer with a strong background in agricultural lending, commercial credit, and relationship development.

Position Overview

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated banking professional who enjoys building and managing high-value customer relationships while combining strong credit and underwriting skills with business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 30–40 customer relationships
• Develop and maintain complex agricultural and commercial lending relationships
• Focus on relationships with $1MM+ aggregate balances
• Generate new business while retaining and expanding existing relationships
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned customers
• Conduct annual renewals, pricing discussions, and term negotiations
• Partner with Credit, Operations, and other internal teams
• Monitor portfolio performance, utilization, and credit risk
• Collect and review financial statements and required documentation
• Maintain accurate pipeline, portfolio, and relationship activity
• Identify opportunities for additional financing and banking services

Ideal Background

• 3–5+ years of credit and underwriting experience
• Strong agricultural lending background
• Proven business development and relationship management experience
• Strong understanding of commercial credit
• Ability to build relationships while maintaining strong credit quality
• Experience with loan documentation
• Self-motivated, driven, and entrepreneurial
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
• Leadership experience is a plus
