About the Role
We are building a team of 6 to 8 AI engineers for a brand new, greenfield engagement expected to run about 15 months. The work is focused on the Palantir Foundry platform and on agentic AI systems that will be shipped to real end users, not left as prototypes. The client is private equity backed, so timelines are short and use cases are narrowly focused, which rewards engineers who can move quickly and deliver working software. You will own meaningful parts of the build end to end, from data engineering and semantic modeling through deployment of production LLM workflows.
Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI and LLM workflows that run in production and serve real end users
• Develop data pipelines, ontology, and applications on the Palantir Foundry platform
• Build and maintain the semantic layer that connects enterprise data to AI agents and applications
• Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, repeatable releases
• Deliver focused use cases on short timelines, prioritizing working software over extended prototyping
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, to accelerate engineering and delivery
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI systems once they are live
• Work directly with client stakeholders and leadership, taking ownership of outcomes with minimal oversight

Required Skills

• Has shipped at least one agent or LLM workflow that reached real users or a live production system (prototypes, demos, and hackathon projects alone do not meet this requirement)
• Roughly 6 to 12 years of engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry
• Strong working knowledge of LLMs and agentic AI frameworks and patterns
• Data engineering experience building and maintaining production pipelines
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD
• Experience designing or working with a semantic layer

Bonus / Soft Skills

• Deep experience with Claude and Anthropic tooling
• Consulting or client-facing delivery background
• Comfortable owning work independently in a fast-moving, greenfield environment
• Experience supporting private equity backed or high-urgency engagements
• Financial services or insurance industry exposure
• Clear communicator who can explain technical tradeoffs to business stakeholders
