The Senior AI Full Stack Engineer will serve as the program’s lead hands-on technical executor for the development, integration, testing, deployment, enhancement, and operational support of secure AI-enabled applications.
The individual will implement the standards and architecture patterns established by the Lead AI Engineer or Government architects and will have direct responsibility for core application, RAG pipeline, testing, security, configuration, deployment, and operational deliverables.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, software engineering, AI application development, data engineering, or cloud engineering.
1+ year of hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLM integration, RAG, agentic AI, model evaluation, or production AI systems.
Prior federal technology experience involving AI, software development, cloud, data, cybersecurity, or application modernization.
Strong Python development experience.
Experience building AI applications, APIs, services, integrations, and automation.
Experience with RAG pipelines, semantic retrieval, embeddings, vector databases, cloud AI services, and workflow orchestration.
Experience with AI testing, prompt-injection testing, jailbreak testing, data-poisoning testing, and remediation.
Experience working in FedRAMP-authorized and FISMA Moderate environments.
Experience supporting Federal ATO, NIST SP 800-53, DevSecOps/MLOps, and production operations.
Experience developing or testing Section 508/WCAG-compliant user interfaces.
Current verifiable AI, ML, data engineering, or cloud AI certification.
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Eligible for a federal background investigation.
Able to work onsite in Washington, DC three days per week.
Mandatory Certification: Must hold at least one current and verifiable AI, Generative AI, machine learning, data engineering, or cloud AI certification from Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, NVIDIA, CAIP, or an equivalent recognized provider. Official certificate, public badge, or verifiable credential ID required.
Responsibilities
Build Python-based AI applications, APIs, LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, vector-search solutions, and AI workflows.
Perform AI testing, model evaluation, security testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
Support MLOps, CI/CD, release management, ATO documentation, accessibility, and continuous improvement.

Three days per week on-site
Two days per week remote
Candidates must support designated on-site sprint activities, demonstrations, stakeholder meetings, governance reviews, and release events.
Core availability is 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
The individual must support Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalations and may be required to provide after-hours support for critical incidents.
Remote work must be performed within the continental United States.
