Join Centric Consulting - A Culture You'll Love
At Centric Consulting, weve cultivated a unique approach to business. Our business is built on three fundamental principles: Enjoy the people you work with, have fun, and do great work. These principles define our consulting model and have crafted one of the most vibrant cultures in the consulting industry - celebrating individuals, collaboration, and lifelong friendships.
Centric Consulting is seeking a Senior AI/ML Developer to serve as a hands-on technical leader embedded within a client's delivery teams as part of a strategic enterprise AI transformation. This role combines deep engineering execution with AI-forward thinking to help scale successful pilots into secure, governed, production-grade agentic systems. Working onsite alongside client sprint teams in Omaha, you will help build internal AI capability while delivering high-impact solutions in a regulated financial services environment. This is a collaborative partnership engagement, not a remote delivery model-requiring strong technical ownership, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to translate advanced AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In this role, you will: Serve as the primary technical lead for designing and building production-grade agentic workflows using AWS Bedrock and Claude Sonnet
Embed directly within client agile teams, participating in sprint ceremonies, standups, and day-to-day delivery activities
Design, implement, and deploy agentic systems leveraging tool use, multi-step reasoning, and orchestration patterns
Develop document extraction and validation solutions for high-volume financial operations, with mortgage insurance validation as an initial use case
Build human-in-the-loop (HITL) controls, exception handling, and escalation logic to support secure and explainable AI outcomes
Evaluate orchestration approaches, including AWS AgentCore versus custom workflows, to meet enterprise-specific needs
Implement guardrails, prompt hardening, and model risk controls aligned with regulatory expectations (e.g., SR 11-7) and client AI governance frameworks
Collaborate closely with architecture, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are production-ready and audit-ready
Contribute to broader AI capability building by sharing best practices, patterns, and lessons learned across teams
Who You Are: A senior-level engineer who thinks natively in agentic design, prompt engineering, and tool-enabled LLM workflows
Equally comfortable discussing system design with engineers and explaining AI decisions to compliance or risk stakeholders
Experienced delivering AI solutions in regulated environments and keenly aware of the difference between demos and durable deployments
Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by working onsite with client teams to solve complex, real-world problems
Passionate about scaling AI responsibly, with a strong appreciation for governance, security, and operational rigora {text-decoration: none;color: rgb(70,79,235);}tr th, tr td {border: 1.0px solid rgb(230,230,230);}tr th {background-color: rgb(245,245,245);}
If you are not located in Omaha, NE, you must be willing to travel during the week as a road warrior. This role requires an in-office presence 3-4 days per week.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field required; advanced degree preferred
7+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production
Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock or equivalent enterprise LLM platforms
Demonstrated expertise building agentic systems, including tool use, multi-step reasoning, and agent orchestration (beyond basic RAG or chatbot implementations)
Strong command of AWS-native architecture and services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, IAM, and VPC
Prior experience in banking, insurance, or other regulated financial services environments strongly preferred
Working knowledge of AI governance concepts, including model risk management, auditability, decision logging, and controls
Total Rewards: We proudly offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive and well-rounded benefits package for full-time employees that have been designed to nourish your well-being, such as health coverage, wellness programs, 401K company match, self-managed PTO, and other unique incentives that celebrate your accomplishments.
