Job Summary:3GIMBALS is hiring a senior artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) integration advisor to advance AI across NGA's GEOINT, multi-INT, and broader mission workflows. You will connect mission needs, technical opportunities, and enterprise constraints; move high-value use cases from concept through operational adoption; and help agency leadership make informed decisions about responsible, secure, and scalable AI investment.Key Responsibilities:Lead AI/ML integration across NGA capabilities to improve operational effectiveness, accelerate decision-making, and support future mission scale within GEOINT, multi-INT, and broader mission workflowsDesign and operationalize large language model (LLM), machine learning, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation use cases as useful, accessible, and trusted mission servicesDevelop predictive analytics and AI-enhanced approaches that improve GEOINT tasking and collection management, including prioritization, timing, automation, and performance assessmentAssess, prototype, and transition emerging AI technologies using demonstrations, user testing, cost-benefit analysis, performance metrics, risk assessment, and transition-readiness criteriaProduce technology assessments documenting pilot results, mission value, transition recommendations, and investment prioritiesIntegrate AI/ML with NGA and mission-partner architectures using secure cloud environments, DevSecOps, data governance, and applicable IC, security, and federal policiesAdvise NGA leadership on responsible AI adoption, including explainability, bias, security, compliance, governance, and workforce adoptionServe as a senior technical advisor working across NGA mission owners, GEOINT analysts, collection and tasking stakeholders, data and platform teams, acquisition organizations, security partners, and mission users across the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) and Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG). Translate operational problems into testable use cases and measurable outcomes, distinguish promising demonstrations from capabilities ready for sustained use, and communicate recommendations that support executive decisions and operational action.Required Skills/Abilities:Deep technical knowledge of AI/ML, LLMs, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and the software and data architectures required to operationalize themExperience designing, prototyping, evaluating, integrating, or transitioning AI-enabled capabilities in secure, mission-oriented environmentsAbility to translate GEOINT or intelligence mission needs into use cases, technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and operational measures of effectivenessDemonstrated ability to evaluate technology using performance, cost, risk, security, operational impact, and transition-readiness considerationsExperience with secure cloud architectures, APIs, integration patterns, DevSecOps, data pipelines, model evaluation, and modern software delivery practicesStrong communication and cross-organizational leadership skills, including the ability to brief executives, produce technical assessments, and influence without direct authorityActive TS/SCI clearance and ability to work onsite at NGA Campus East in Springfield, Virginia, according to the customer's required scheduleDesired Skills/Abilities:Experience supporting NGA missions, organizations, acquisition programs, or capabilities at NGA Campus East or another NGA locationKnowledge of GEOINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, and dissemination workflows and their relationship to multi-INT mission operationsExperience with responsible AI frameworks, model risk management, explainability, bias assessment, data governance, and AI securityExperience planning and executing technology demonstrations, pilots, user testing, operational assessments, and capability transitionsFamiliarity with retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, MLOps/LLMOps, and human-in-the-loop system designEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, intelligence studies, geospatial science, or a related field and 12+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years of experience leading or advising AI/ML, advanced analytics, software integration, or technology-transition efforts in national security or another complex mission environment.About 3GIMBALS:3GIMBALS is a leading analytic services firm serving the Federal government and the military.
