In this role you will:

  • Own state list submission work for your subject areas, including K to 8 correlations, ELPS crosswalks, and correlation CSV preparation
  • Drive multi-round review and validation cycles and analyze field test data to recommend revisions
  • Partner across curriculum, product, design, state strategy, and GTM teams as the subject-area content expert
  • Stay current on early literacy research, phonics continuums, and Universal Screener design and share that knowledge across the team

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor''s degree (Master''s preferred) in education, English, literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, instructional design, or a related field
  • You have 4 or more years of experience in assessment development, standards alignment, or a related educational role, and K to 12 classroom or curriculum experience is valued
  • You have an advanced command of assessment design, item-writing standards, and validation methodologies
  • You apply backwards design fluently to ground assessment design in instructional approach, skill statements, and state standards
  • You have experience with state summative assessment design across fixed form, benchmark, and adaptive formats, including blueprints, standard setting, and performance level descriptors
  • You understand scoring logic and TEI scoring design, and you collaborate comfortably with psychometricians on validity
  • You can build and manage crosswalk workbooks and execute K to 8 correlations and ELPS crosswalks for state submissions
  • You know early literacy frameworks and phonics continuums and can apply them to Universal Screener form development
  • You are proficient with alignment, content management, and authoring platforms, and you have advanced Excel skills
  • You exercise sound judgment about when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate
  • You strengthen team culture through inclusive, trust-building collaboration
  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs.
